As the foundation of national governance, rural governance is of great significance to the modernization of China’s system and capacity for governance. Without rural governance modernization as the cornerstone, China’s governance modernization is out of the question. The emergence of COVID-19 epidemic, the "black swan", poses new challenges to the Chinese people and adds new risks to rural governance. The epidemic has exposed that the work of rural governance modernization in China is still faced with realistic dilemma such as the excessive extension of township government administrative powers, the lack of effective supervision of rural cadre powers, the gradual weakened awareness of village community, and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously improve rural governance in terms of improving the rural governance structure of multiple subjects, strengthening the supervision and management of rural cadres, promoting excellent traditional culture, introducing modern information technology, so as to promote the final realization of rural governance modernization. |
